Owner and Head Interior Designer
Hanneri Barnard, founder of Effects Interior Design, graduated with a BSc. degree in Interior Architecture from the University of Pretoria in 2007. With a background in corporate and residential design, her passion lies in functional, user-centric design, emphasising usability and enhancing the user experience within spaces. She firmly believes that interior design should serve and optimise the use of a space. Functionality and aesthetic appeal form the cornerstone of her design philosophy. Hanneri is a registered Professional Architectural Draughtsperson with SACAP, and Professional Interior Designer with the IID, showcasing her strong technical skills and deep understanding of design functionality. Her dedication extends to teaching, as she currently contributes as a part-time lecturer at Tshwane University of Technology’s Interior Design Department.
